PILGRIMS

PILGRIMS

Coming and going
Without going anywhere
Time an illusion
Space likewise passing the time
Our home is not made by hand

ARROWS

ARROWS

Arrows surround us
Few notice them
Fewer are drawn

Fewer follow them
Until they realise
Arrows just arrows

Neither the target
Nor the flight
Home once again

RIVER

RIVER

Water surrounds us
Speaks to those to whom it speaks
Rivers linger not

EYES AND EARS

“But fields have eyes and woods have ears, ye wot” – John Heywood (The Proverbs And Epigrams Of John Heywood, 1562)

UNHARRIED

UNHARRIED

Take time for space
And you will find space for time

Make space for time
And you will find time for space

Time and space are one
Are everything, are nothing

Firmly yet lightly they hold us
It is we who do all the grasping

BREATH IV

BREATH IV

The spirit
This moment
Breathes in

And inspires

The spirit
One day
Checks out

And expires

The spirit
Meantime
Quietly watches

Whatever transpires

The spirit
Invites you
To watch it all too

WITHIN

WITHIN

If someone harms us
It is neither one of us
That is the problem

OVERVIEW II

OVERVIEW II

Time an illusion
A tapestry unrolling
Fresh? …Well … yes and no

SPIRIT

SPIRIT

We give up the ghost
Or is it not rather that
The ghost gives us up
