PERFECTION II

Perfection is an attitude of mind.

THE WISDOM OF THINKING AHEAD

If I were to do away with all my imperfections today
How empty tomorrow would become.

PERFECT CALLIGRAPHY

There was once a young child whose calligraphy was effortlessly perfect. Then one day someone told him this. It took him twenty years to recapture it.

PERFECTION

Perfection at last!
Each blunder is now performed
Immaculately

THE PERFECT GIFT

The present is a work in progress.

HUMILITY

Do you ever think
You might have it wrong?
Hold that thought
(But not too tightly)

PARADOX

Those who know everything know nothing.
Those who know nothing know everything.

JUDGEMENT

JUDGEMENT

Whatever I did today
Was it of any use?
And to whom?

Perhaps for a moment I had
A moment of simple beauty
Of silence undisturbed

If only they weren’t
All so busy doing
Something they found useful

Would I improve things
Change everything
By sharing?

Not a bad idea
As ideas go
But they do

And besides
It’s attitudes not circumstances
That create events

And all those useful things
They were doing
Instead

In an eyeblink
All this distraction
Is already so perfect

Just so

ENDURING SATISFACTION

If the mind remains hungry though the belly be full, how is one to be satisfied? If the mind is satisfied, then even if the belly is empty one will experience no lack.

PERFECT

PERFECT

My apologies …
You became perfect
After all
Just as soon as I looked at you properly
